Presented at IAC Paris, Sept 2022. The increasing interest in experimental sounding rockets for atmospheric research underscores the need for robust and efficient communication systems. These rockets, pivotal for conducting high-altitude experiments, provide essential data that pave the way for advanced space missions. This paper delves into the optimization of communication systems using a 2x2 patch array antenna at 2.4GHz, addressing challenges like signal attenuation due to the unlicensed ISM band frequency. It examines the effects of temperature variations on antenna performance across different substrates and shapes.

Optimization of Communication Systems

Presented at the IAC, Oct 2020. Experimental sounding rockets, crucial for atmospheric studies, are a focus area for enhancing space mission prototypes due to their capability of conducting varied experiments. These rockets require highly power-efficient communication systems, as they often face limitations in resources while needing real-time data transmission. The ReSOLV Mk-1 project addresses these challenges by proposing a novel communication setup using a folded dipole PCB antenna and a 2x2 patch array antenna, optimizing space and power in the avionics bay effectively.

Community Engagement and Leadership Initiatives

Being a Rotaract Club Member, I initiated and led efforts for Orphanage visits and Plantation Drives. This involved detailed planning, coordinating with volunteers, and ensuring our activities met the specific needs of the community. My role emphasized effective management and engagement, fostering a spirit of service among volunteers. As an NSS Member, I participated in plog runs, which improved local environments while fostering community spirit and responsibility among participants. These experiences enriched my organizational and leadership skills, contributing significantly to community welfare.

Empowering Education and Health Awareness

In Hosakote town, I engaged with students at the Government Higher Urdu Primary School, emphasizing the importance of technical education and efficient resource utilization. Through group interactions, we provided career guidance and highlighted how technology-based education prepares students for future challenges. Additionally, we conducted door-to-door surveys promoting menstrual hygiene awareness, addressing challenges faced by women and advocating for positive changes through governmental educational programs.

Mentorship and Event Organization

At HPE, I took on the responsibility of mentoring newcomers to ensure they felt comfortable and successfully completed their onboarding. I also contributed to planning and hosting engaging events, including the Marghana Bharata quiz for employees. These experiences taught me how to harness cultural diversity and foster teamwork, helping to create a cohesive, inclusive environment.
